  • JSB: AppSec feature set is in the code but you don’t get the AppID database (but you may use the AppSec feature with your own created AppIDs for free)
  • JSE: Contains a “perpetual” AppSec license and JSE gives continuous AppID signature updates as long as box has its lifetime  ( For Now: JSE is a honor based license )
  • JSB + IPS-1: You get the full feature set with an initial AppID database, including one year of updates (after that you can still use it, so you are then on the “JSE-Level”)
  • If you want to stay up to date with current AppIDs, you do need to renew your IPS-x license continuously – this is the same for JSB- and JSE-based orders
  • ASEC ( for vSRX)  will include:  IDP/IPS + AppFW + Appsecure
