The MX204 and MX10003 will deliver a flexible compact router for MX series in 1RU and 3RU form factors with 400G and 3T capacities respectively.
Customers are demanding higher density & scale in a power and cost optimized compact platform with the features that MX series provides. Several features of these platforms are as follows:
- MX204/MX10003 is a power optimized ~0.9W/G, compact chassis with high density that saves power and cost for the customer.
- MX204/MX10003 is a high density 10G/40G/100G system
- L4-L7 services integration available via x86 complex on Routing-Engine (post-FRS)
- MX204/MX10003 offers dense price competitive 10G and 100G ports
- MX204/MX10003 supports OAM & HQoS with Trio Architecture
- Different licensing options allows lower bandwidth
- Feature parity for HQoS with existing MX Q MPCs.
- The MX204/MX10003 are targeted towards a COLO, Datacenter, Metro, High speed edge, BNG use case.
