As part of this ongoing journey, I’m thrilled to announce today the availability of the new PTX10008 14.4T line card, purpose built for scale-up architectures requiring high capacity and low cost per bit. This new platform runs Junos Evolved OS, optimized for cloud networking use cases. Additional highlights include:

  • First platform based on Juniper Triton (BT) silicon, featuring .14 Watts/Gigabit power efficiency (30% improvement vs. Juniper ExpressPlus silicon)
  • Security without performance penalty - in-line MACsec at 100GbE and 400GbE (an industry first)
  • With 8M counters, visibility at scale that merchant silicon can’t touch
